We are thrilled to share the exciting news that 116 Pall Mall has emerged triumphant at the prestigious London Venue & Catering Awards 2023, securing the coveted title of "Best Historic Venue or Livery Hall - 300 Attendees Reception Style." This accolade is a testament to the unwavering dedication and hard work of our exceptional team over the past year. Since its construction in 1828, 116 Pall Mall has stood proudly on Waterloo Place, our splendid Grade-I listed Georgian building in the heart of St James. Originally the United Services Club, it now serves as the home to the Institute of Directors, boasting a rich and riveting history. The building's story is intrinsically linked with London’s tales of historical significance, from a donation by George IV of a stunning 15ft Regency chandelier commemorating the Battle of Waterloo to being a strategic planning space during World War II for the exiled King Haakon of Norway.  

One of the key strengths of 116 Pall Mall lies in its versatility. With five floors of unique spaces, including intimate rooms, grand function halls, and quirky areas like Café Duke and the Champagne Bar, the venue accommodates events of all sizes and types. The beautiful garden, home to beehives producing honey used in menus and cocktails, adds an extra dimension to the venue's appeal.

This partnership has resulted in a fantastic, enhanced dining experience, designing delicious seasonal menus for both events and our restaurant, Carlton Brasserie.
