Introducing: Searcys' English Sparking Wine
At 116 Pall Mall, we’re always looking for innovative and exciting things to bring our guests – whether that’s our diverse events calendar , our beautiful spaces for hire or our ever-changing food and drinks menu.
With that in mind, you’ll know we revamped and relaunched our bar last year, transforming it into an inviting Champagne Bar, in collaboration with famous restauranteur and caterer Searcys. We’re delighted now, to be launching Searcys’ very own English Sparkling Wine in our bar to mark the brand’s 175th anniversary in the industry.
In collaboration with the award-winning Greyfriars Vineyard near Guildford in Surrey, the new Searcys Classic Cuvée Brut NV is blended from the three traditional Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, giving it fresh and fruity notes of peach, lime, green apples and freshly baked brioche – no really! Dry and soft with a crisp finish, the wine is the ideal aperitif or celebratory tipple and pairs wonderfully with fish or seafood available in our restaurant and bar. View the drinks menu here.
Bruno Pelletier, drinks ambassador at Searcys, says, “Being at the heart of events and celebrations since 1847, we are very excited to be adding our very first own-label English Sparkling Wine to the wine list for events across all our venues, Searcys restaurants and Champagne bars. Just in time for the arrival of our celebration signature spring-summer menus, the new sparkling wine pairs perfectly with new dishes including Portland crab with a citrus salad and brown crab dressing as well as our showstopping pan-fried dover sole with capers, lemon butter and parsley. What’s more, we are continuing to raise awareness and interest in Britain’s local wines and vineyards, supporting local businesses and practicing being more sustainable.”
